Renault has shown in Moscow a business class sedan

Renault Latitude

On the Moscow showroom the world premiere of Renault Latitude has taken place. Quiet lines, classical proportions and decent dimensions – 4887 mm at length, 1832 – at width, and the wheelbase was stretched to 2762 mm.

Renault Latitude is created on Renault/Nissan D Platform – the same uses the Korean sedan Samsung SM5 and present Teana. The Running gear – corporate compilation. In front racks of MaсPherson from the Lagoon, and behind – a multilever from Nissan. Engines – also from Japanese brother.

The base motor – two-liter M4R which under cowl Latitude develops 139 forces and 191 Nanometers. It works with steplessly variator which origin also is known for a long time. Dispersal from 0 to 100 km/h takes 11,9 seconds, and the maximum speed – 186 km/h. Well, it is quite enough for slow driving.

Flagman version is equipped petrol V6 with volume 2,5 liters but if on Teana this engine gives out 185 horses and combined with variator CVT on Latitude its capacity slightly less – 177 horses. A box too another – six-step automatic machine. Top Latitude is more bright – 10,7 sec to hundred and 209 km/h maximum speed. Weight Latitude V6 – 1600 kgs.

And here strikingly differs Renault Latitude from Nissan is an interior. As a matter of fact, the interior practically has entirely removed from the Lagoon, but is assembled from other, better materials. And, certainly, in Latitude is much more spacious behind, than in a five-door Lagoon with its falling roof – there is more place both for feet, and for a head.

Renault Latitude will assemble in South Korea, at factory in the city of Busan (in the same place make also Renault Koleos). Adaptation to the Russian market consists in the increased ground clearance, a full-size spare wheel and bottom covering. A guarantee – 3 years or 100 thousand kilometers of run. Sales start in the autumn of current year.
